the warmth collects in the air as the feel of the places around me change before my green eyes. i look down at my feet when they hurt. my boss told me to buy a more comfortable pair of shoes from the store i work; but years of thrift store shopping have taught me otherwise. if i want to make it to New Jersey by mid July i have to save most all of my cash. and if i want the time to pass effortlessly by i should really try not to dwell on what is not yet mine.
